A yoni egg is an egg-shaped gemstone made out of natural crystals. It is inserted into the Yoni (Sanskrit word for female genitalia, meaning “Sacred Space”) to assist with pelvic floor connection. Once the connection is established, there are many benefits available.
- Increases overall life-force energy or “kundalini” or “chi” in the body.
- Increases our awareness and connection with our Yoni, womb and entire pelvic muscles.
- Increases sensitivity during sǝx/self-pleasure.
- Heightens multi-orgasmic potential: cervical, G-spot, and full body orgasm become available.
- Boosts the libido
- Revitalizes nerve-endings in the vagina and creates more connection between the vagina and the brain.
- Increases vaginal lubrication
- Helps train the pelvic floor for childbirth and recover the muscles post-childbirth
- Fixes weak bladder which leads to incontinence
- It helps to prevent uterine prolapse, whereby the uterus collapses into the vagina due to atrophy.
- Balances hormones for a healthy, regular cycle and easy menopause.
- Increases blood flow to the area, which contributes to sensitivity and vitality
- Improves overall health, happiness, wellness and radiance
A Jade Egg is a Yoni Egg make of jade. We work with the highest quality of nephrite jade.
Yes. Different ages come with different feminine needs, but most can be covered through awareness and connection with our feminine bodies.
For example, during your twenties, thirties and forties, an egg will increase sensitivity and maximize your orgasmic capacity. To get there the body needs release sǝxual trauma and the egg is a fantastic tool to do that gently.
An Egg can also help with recovering postpartum muscles and libido.
During menopause, it will help with hormonal balance, easing the transition. Yoni Eggs are also wonderful for weak bladder and prolapse.
Your intention and commitment to the practice will also have a massive impact on your experience.
There are some occasions to be extra careful when using the egg
PREGNANCY
We suggest you not wear your Yoni Egg during pregnancy unless you are very connected to your body and have worn it consistently before pregnancy.
We would encourage you to start three months before pregnancy or wait to use your Yoni Egg six weeks after delivery. However, if you are a woman with Yoni Egg experience, our suggestion is to proceed with caution, allow yourself to feel your body signals and limit the practice to ten minutes per day.
MENSTRUATION
Your moon time is a sacred time of shedding and releasing, so we recommend not using the egg during your monthly bleed.
During this time of the month, there is a downward flow of energy. Inserting a weight is going against the natural flow of life.
Again, this is a general recommendation but if you are a woman deeply connected to her body and your intuition says otherwise, please listen to yourself before any external source.
INTERCOURSE
There is no need to use it while having intercourse but of course this is a personal choice for you.
If you decide to experiment with it, please go slowly and have in mind that the egg will be pushed till the cervix, and you will need some squatting and pussy power to take it out of your body.
There are essentially two ways to wear your Yoni Egg:
1. A daily fifteen-minute “Yoni Yoga” practice: Breathing + Kegels in series. This practice offers the best results when you are fully present in the moment.
We include three exercises in our brochure when you purchase. Also, make sure you check out our Yoni Yoga course for extended info and practices.
2. Inserting the Yoni Egg and casually walk around the house, wear it into a yoga class or movement practice. The egg’s weight and gravity will create an automatic clench on your PC muscles. This will strengthen your pelvic floor muscles even if you don’t do kegels. However, this clench can create problematic tension on the pelvic floor. The goal is to create a strong yet relaxed pussy, so we recommend laying down for five minutes after removing the egg. From there, perform a conscious relaxation of the area using the breath to avoid tension-related issues.
We suggest wearing your egg a minimum of three times a week to experience the ultimate benefits. Ideally, it’s best to commit to a month of daily practice for a real transformative journey.
For beginners, we suggest using it for fifteen minutes at a time and we highly recommend to perform a conscious practice above leaving it inside and forget about it.
Before inserting, take time to connect with your body as a whole and with the egg. You can even check in with your your body if she want it inside.
If the egg has been inserted for too long, you may feel some abdominal discomfort like cramping. This might indicate tension on your PC muscles. Our recommendation is to take the egg out, lay down, and do five minutes of conscious PC muscle relaxation, supported by breathwork with long exhales.
Yes, you can, but it is certainly not the same. It is easier to build a connection with your yoni by having the egg inside. This is because the resistance adds extra sensitivity and feeling to the practice. Just as you would lift weights at the gym, the egg adds a value of resistance, which helps build up the yoni’s strength and sensations.
If you have a drilled Yoni Egg, thread an arm-long piece of dental floss through the drilled hole and tie a knot. If you need to, use some lubricant or coconut oil to assist with help ease insertion. Place the larger end of the egg at the entrance of your vagina and gently push it in. The egg will find its place in the cavity between the G-spot and the cervix.
It is normal for the numbness to occur once the egg has been inserted. Numbness happens often; most woman experience it as a result of multiple factors:
- sǝxual trauma stored in the yoni
- scar tissue caused by surgery or childbirth
- lack of PC muscle control
- lack of nerve connection between the vagina and the brain
A committed practice with your egg will definitely alter any numbness. If you still don’t feel anything after a regular exercise month, opt for a larger egg.
All our eggs are drilled so you can use the thread to pull it out,
If your your string breaks, don’t panic. The egg cannot go up the vaginal channel, which is closed off by the cervix.
- Squat down and insert your finger to get it out.
- Squat down and cough to help your muscles to open and push it.
*** Make sure you perform the squats on a soft surface like a towel or a couchon so the egg doesn´t break.
The answer is NO; it will always come out. Inside the vagina, we have the cervix as a gateway to our uterus; nothing can go beyond the cervix.
We always recommend beginners to use a drilled Yoni Egg to start, threading it with un-waxed, un-minted dental floss. To retrieve it, squat down and pull on the string.
We do not suggest that you wear a Yoni Egg during pregnancy unless connected to your body and have worn an egg consistently before pregnancy so you understand how energy feels and move in your body.
We would encourage you to start the egg practice three months before pregnancy or wait six weeks after delivery to use your Yoni Egg.
When you’re pregnant, it’s best not to introduce new practices, especially those that move a lot of energy. The body is wise and keeps the energy power around the womb to grow and nourish the fetus.
If we don’t feel very connected to our body or have vast knowledge around how energy moves, it’s best not to interfere with natural bodily functions.
Crystal Yoni Eggs are not to be boiled as some may crack under pressure or ruin their crystalline structure and integrity. Nephrite Jade or Obsidian can take high temperatures; however, Rose Quartz can easily break in the heat.
We suggest boiling the water, allowing it to cool down until the water is lukewarm. Then, place the egg inside the water with a couple of drops of lavender or tea tree oil.
Alternatively, you could simply wash them with a soft, organic antibacterial soap.
A medium-size Yoni Egg is ideal for most women who have not yet given birth. Our large-size is perfect for postpartum mothers and menopausal women. You can also use it if you feel that you have a sizeable vaginal cavity.
If you are unsure, get the set of 3. In that case, we usually start with the bigger one and work our way to the smallest one, which is challenging to feel inside. The smaller egg on the set is ideal if you are still a virgin or have a condition like vaginismus.
In our experience, it’s OK to use the Yoni Egg if you have an IUD as they are designed to withstand vigorous sex and tampons.
A small, polished egg should not dislodge an IUD.
Make use the thread stays down to avoid contact with the IUD.
